AE, quit using Airterra for shipments!
As long as American Eagle uses Airterra for shipping, I will never shop online with them again. It seems like a total scam! Airterra claims to have attempted a delivery, but it’s a lie. I was home at the stated time of their delivery attempt. They also stated false reasons as to why the shipment couldn’t be delivered: “Unable to deliver/leave package due to full/closed receptical, oversized package, or access was blocked.” I live in an accessible area so it all makes zero sense. Weather was also not an issue at the stated time of the delivery attempt. American Eagle customer service has only told me that they would send the package back to me *IF* it ends up getting returned to them. My shipment status has been “undeliverable” since the initial delivery attempt without any status updates. There isn’t a phone number for Airterra customer service either, which is even more shady!

If you want your items go to the store order online and you most likely wont receive it. Horrible shipping
I thought it was just me with the shipping from AE. Absolutely horrible shipping 3 out of 4 packages they supposedly delivered I never recieved. I understand it's free shipping but I'd rather just pay so I atleast get my items. Please change shipping companies it's really frustrating and annoying to constantly have to try to track down your lost packages

Website Crashes when trying to make purchase
Was trying to make a decent sized purchased but the website crashed on my iPhone and everything in my cart disappeared and I had 20+ items in there. American Eagle has lost my business because of it's $#*!ty website, incredibly frustrating experience. You would think they would invest more in there technology but I guess they don't care about their customers online experience.

Terrible Shipping Service
I ordered 4 jeans for cyber Monday during a big sale. It supposedly shipped the next day and I waited a week and a half from the time I ordered without the tracking ever updating. I contacted the company asking why it still shows carrier pickup for over a week. They told me I needed to wait 5 business days from the time the tracking updated to contact them about it. I waited a few more days and contacted them again telling them to either refund my money because it still was not shipped or use another shipping carrier because that carrier was not doing anything. They told me they could not choose another shipping carrier so they had to refund me and I had to reorder everything again. The sale was over by this point so everything was more expensive. It would only benefit them for me to reorder everything at a higher price. Will never order here again and I've been ordering here for over 10 years.

I ordered some items on the 14.12.22…
I ordered some items on the 14.12.22 and I am still waiting for it to arrive 30.12.22, DHL are no use as they don't know were the package is located. AE customer service pointed me to DHL, and DHL pointed me to AE, so I am stuck in the middle!

Given pieces of fabric instead of the product
So this has happened repeatedly. I ordered jeans worth 3k+ but received old cut pieces of dusty clothes. Then recently ordered products that costed a lot but was given old used clothes that had holes in them. Also the colour was faded and size is Rens too large.

Sweater
Super cute but leaves lint EVERYWHERE. I wear my backpack and when i take it off it looks like a bear had but it on. My friend got the same sweater in pink and it stained her pants pink. Do better. And the lint is wild.

Horrible service -- sent the wrong item, made it a hassle for me to correct THEIR problem
I'll buy from their competitors from now on. Horrible "customer service" online and by phone. If you buy from them online GOOD LUCK. They are not trustworthy and don't care about you as a customer, they only want your money. We ordered a pair of jeans. Instead we were shipped a hoodie! How can these 2 items be confused by their employees?!

So I called and was told I'd have to print a return label (at my cost, rinter ink and paper wise, plus cost of my time to do it), and repackage the item (at my cost for a mailing envelope and the time costs to do this shopping and packaging), then take the package to the post office (wasting more of my time and the gas costs), then to go back on their website and place another order for the jeans!, same as I already did, but they screwed up (requiring even more of my time and energy, not to mention trusting they'd not screw up the order again). They refused to even offer me any compensation for all of this work on my part, just to correct the mistakes on their part; no discount was offered to me, I had to argue and plead my case and demand a discount to compensate me for all of this hassle which was due to THEIR MISTAKE. I was as polite as could be, and respectful yet assertive. And yet their male employees are obviously encouraged to be misogynistic due to his extremely patronizing attitude in response, including chastising me for my detailed honest experience with their company in this regard. Telling me the email communications on their end would be "terminated if I continued to be 'emotional" which is insulting and unacceptable.

A letter to their CEO, Mr Jay Schottenstein has been sent. The company produces good clothing but its the people who work there that make or destroy the company's brand. I will never again invest my time or money in this company and its products. I'm willing to pay more via buying from a more honorable and responsible retailer such as their competitors.

AE has become fraudulent.
Back in November, placed an order. Tracking info was with Dhl and only said awaiting carrier pickup. Package never showed. Still says same thing almost a month later. Placed another order a couple days ago. Part of order shipped, checked that tracking and what a surprise! Thru dhl again and it still just says awaiting carrier pickup. The other portion (1item) shipped today with usps and already shows picked up and a delivery date given. Why is ae continuing to use dhl when it's clearly a problem. On top of that, I go to reorder and everything is out of stock. The 15% off coupon is not even worth this headache. Thanks AE. ??????????

Worst customer service I've ever experienced
In my 33 years this is by far the worst customer service I've ever had to experience. They have wasted over 2 hours of my time now and I am being refused a supervisor so I'm just out of my rewards, out of my jeans, and out of luck. I have never been so frustrated I get a pair of freaking pants for crying out loud. I have spent over $400 here in the last 2 weeks but I will never do business with them again.

I have no issues with the quality of…
I have no issues with the quality of items I order from Aerie or American Eagle. However, their shipping method is unreliable. They use their own company, AirTerra and a variety of “last mile” distributors. Twice my orders failed to arrive and twice I got a refund. The first time, I reordered with a guaranteed Two-Day ship coupon they sent me and the order arrived promptly through USPS. The second time, no coupon was offered and I did not reorder. If you want AE merchandise, purchase at one of their stores or pay extra to get guaranteed two-day ship to avoid the AirTerra network.

Great until they stopped being inclusive
I have worn AE jeans, and I turned my husband on the them. We have worn them for years and they last for years. A few years ago they stopped carrying a 16+ in store in jeans. This means we no longer get to use our military discount. So I finally broke down to order online- they canceled my order after 3 weeks passed because my jeans are no longer in stock. They're taking up to 10 business days to refund the almost $200 we spent, and I'm angry. I've been buying the jeans from Target now. They're cheaper and pretty similar.

Worst service / you don't receive your items
The worst purchasing experience I have ever had online. My order did not arrive at all. It was supposed to arrive in 10 days and after 3 weeks it did not, I contacted customer service and they said I had to wait more. After 2 months waiting I wrote again asking for help and they did not bother to look into it, just process a refound. The items were a birthday present that I could not give.

Worst customer service. Do not recommend to buy from there. They will just keep your money for 2 months, not send anything and process a refound afterwards.
